Amanda did a little volunteer and emergency teaching after completing the Primary teaching art course at La Trobe University, Bendigo (country Victoria), in 1991. She couldn't quite settle with teaching and was looking for something different and commenced work in administration at the University of Melbourne. She quickly grasped the use of computers, loved technology and progressed her way up through University positions to an administrative management position of a Communication Skills and English as a Second Language Centre. |

Looking for challenges and to progress even further, she successfully won an assistant management position of an International Office at a TAFE Institute. This position saw her travel frequently overseas until she quit in 1999 and began developing the Message Scrolls business. But, every new business needs finance and to support the scrolls business idea Amanda worked part time as a Marketing Manager at an Aged Care Centre/Hospital. Amanda learnt a lot about older Australians who had contributed to building the community as veterans and in fundraising for hospitals. After three years of dividing her time between the two, it was time to resign from the hospital and Amanda is now focusing full time on building Message Scrolls as an internationally renowned company.

With extensive experience in sales, marketing and office management, as well as her boundless energy and enthusiasm for our scroll products, Mary is the perfect face for Message Scrolls in the USA . Originally from central New Jersey, she is now based in Worcester, Massachusetts. Mary's career started as an administrator for a vehicle rental company. She worked her way through various positions in the medical, research, beer brewing and furniture industries. Managing staff, writing reports, creating systems, coordinating road shows and overseeing finances, qualifies Mary to carry out the tasks required to have Message Scrolls well represented throughout the states in the US. |

When Mary is not “scrolling away”, she enjoys time on the home front with her busy husband and a feisty toddler. Reading, cooking and traveling are her favorite past times.
Mary is excited by the fast growth of Message Scrolls and is thrilled to be part of the team that is helping to build Message Scrolls as an internationally renowned company.

Belinda Blackwood |

Handcrafter |
Serving patrons at cafes, manufacturing clothing, preparing floral arrangements and working with children make up Belinda Blackwood's work history. The best by far was the floristry work. "Being creative in a work environment was really important to me and I very much enjoyed the floristry work." Belinda explains. "Now, being employed by Message Scrolls, the work enables me to keep up my interest in art and I never tire of the scroll invitations that I assist in handcrafting. The floristry work required great attention to detail, it was almost like training for the scrolls work! I have to ensure everything is perfect. I very much enjoy being a part of it all, even though I'm in the background working away behind the scenes, knowing the scrolls that I have handcrafted play such an important role makes my work very satisfying!." |
